Main Project
I decided to make to try and learn how to write some basic Chinese calligraphy. I also choose to do the chinese symbol Jiu Yi. It sands for, "Die for a just cause, pay the supreme sacrifice". I choose that because when my fortune said that I always put others before me, and when I thought of that it made me think of the people who give their lives so that we may live ours.
I had some trouble with getting the white paint to out show the black ink. I solved this though by just adding layer after layer of white paint. Someone also left their art on mine when it was drying. It turned out ok though.
I am very happy with my work because it turned out just as I wanted it to. I like the white on black contrast of the letters. Then I also like how I made it into a scroll more of thing tan just a plain black paper.
